Frequently Asked Questions

1. How much does it cost to sharpen?
We charge to sharpen each cutter based on its diameter not depth of cut. You can always find prices on the pricing page. Please be sure to note the pricing difference between 3/4" shank and 1-1/4" shank cutters. There are no surprise fees and if a cutter requires gullet servicing that is included in the price. (Gullets are the channels between the teeth that eject chips).

2.What brands do you sharpen?
All brands with a 3/4" or 1-1/4" Weldon shank.

3. Do you sharpen carbide cutters?
Yes.  We sharpen Carbide, Cobalt, TinCoated, and HSS.

4. Where do I ship my tools?
We receive everything through the main address: Annular Cutter Service, 14241 Coursey Blvd, Suite A-12 #121, Baton Rouge, LA 70817.

5. How do I pay?
We accept credit cards over the phone or we can send you an electronic invoice via Paypal. We also accept cash and checks but a firm quote is required, see the note at the bottom of the page.

6. Do you accept P.O.'s?
Yes.  Please be sure to include either your accounts payable e-mail or contact person if you are a new customer.

7. Is there a minimum order amount to receive service?
No. If you are a person and not a company we will be glad to do business with you. When sending a shipment please indicate how many cutters you are sending.

8.Do you charge for return shipping?
Yes, however we will accept a customer generated return label either in the physical shipment or e-mailed to: annularcutterservice@yahoo.com. Otherwise we always attempt to keep shipping charges reasonable.

9. Do you accept UPS/FedEx shipping accounts for return shipping?
No, we do not accept UPS/FedEx account numbers under any circumstances.

10. What's your turnaround time like?
The general time guideline is to double your shipment time and add four to five business days.  We are always happy to speak with our customers if you need an ETA.

11.  How should I package my Shipment?
Shipping is especially tough on heavier packages and it is recommended that cutters are either bagged or sent in their original plastic packaging. We also recommend taping all seams on your box.

If you need a firm quote for your order e-mail us at annularcutterservice@yahoo.com or call (225) 715-8907.  A firm quote will require the number of cutters and their sizes in diameter.

If you are a cash customer and wish to pay at the time of sharpening, meaning to send your cash payment with your tools, then you will need a firm quote via e-mail or by phone call.  Please submit that request to the e-mail or phone number above.
